NH 17

The express bus ripped through at its best. Not much has changed on the highway. A few fly overs being built and tonnes of memories all along.
The wedding got over without much fuss. Pai had serious doubts if they would serve lunch at the wedding. But there was a nice spread of the authentic Udupi food. Visited the Krishna temple.
College hasn't changed much except for the colors. People too had grown more grey hair. A few new buildings here and there. But it was sad to see Baba was no more the official drink. Students have taken more to tropicana, bingo and mineral water. The beach has special enclosures and visiting hours too. Pai, Ravish and Harsha were kind enough to take the long walk covering the campus and the beach.
Downed some beer at this cool place called Froth on the top. Gadbad at Pabba's still costs 35 bucks. The Hao Ming special fried rice 75, up from 60 I think. During college times these places were hard on the pocket, but now when I had the reserves, there wasn't time for more than one meal.

Advani for PM?

Advani makes an perfect start to the 2009 campaign with his website. Drawing from the recently concluded US presidential elections websites, blogs and flash stickers could do some good to his prime ministerial ambitions. The home page also has a lot of material showcasing his secular credentials. His blogs are what is going to shape up this page.
I'm no fan of the BJP. Its a dilemma for Congress to counter this move. Putting Rahul Gandhi is a big risk. Obviously he isn't prepared yet. Chances of Sonia vying for the big post are less. Manmohan Singh's team stands a chance. Looks likely that they are going to take it standing down. But wins in Delhi and Rajasthan have given them some hope.
And where is Priyanka??
