xkcd is worth more than just a look. The comics relate more to the internet user and its got the science, math and Web2.0 touch.
The strips in general are greatly inspired by Calvin n Hobbes. Be it all the technical fart,the sarcasm, the characters' obsession with hobbies or fears. But that doesn't come in the way of one loving it. The generation gap surely helps conceal any similarity.
